"There is something in each day that can bring gratitude and joy if only we see and appreciate it. Perhaps we should be looking less with our eyes and more with our hearts." - Dieter F Uchtdorf
Start (and end) each day with a grateful heart! My current, valuable tool that keeps me spinning positive. I start and end each day thanking God for the blessings in my day and my life! The morning thank you is usually easy as I wake optimistic for my day and all I look to enjoy. The end of the day thank you, depending on the day, can be a bit more of a challenge! Some days are hard and weigh heavy on us. Today I had one of those days where my heart was clouded with sadness and worry. As I conclude my day I reflect on the special little moments of play I enjoyed and observed with my trio. I hold on to those little gems and spin about the amazing blessings they are! I enjoyed the simplicity of building a train track and pushing choo choos around the track. I loved helping create a farm; a farm where pigs AND horses roll in the mud, the chickens deliver the apples to the horses, and the sheep drive the tractors =) I was spoiled by my chefs with a delicious plate of all my favorite foods- rainbow pizza, spaghetti, grapes, Mickey pancakes and coffee (funny that they realized it was a 3 cup kinda day!) I mean who wouldn’t switch to happy (with a slight touch of indigestion) after such a tasty plate like that! Lastly I am most thankful for these littles who still want to cuddle on my lap while they play and the incredible power they have to brighten my mood and center my thoughts! While I felt consumed with worry most of my day today, as I reflect on these simple little hours, I have a much different view of the day I just had. I will fall asleep happy and grateful!!
“The children have been a wonderful gift to me, and I’m thankful to have once again seen our world through their eyes. They restore my faith...” - Jackie Kennedy
SO very thankful for these 3 precious kiddos!
